Next Generation Driving Academy – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rules, expectations and responsibilities for learners booking and undertaking lessons with Next Generation Driving Academy (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking a lesson, purchasing a package, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Next Generation Driving Academy provides:

  • Automatic driving lessons

  • Test preparation sessions

  • Mock tests

  • VicRoads test day packages

  • Beginner, intermediate & refresher lessons

All services are provided by accredited, fully licensed driving instructors.

2. Lesson Bookings

  • Lessons must be booked in advance through phone, text, email, or website.

  • A confirmation message will be sent once a booking is secured.

  • Learners must hold a valid learner permit or licence for all lessons.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

To ensure fairness to all students:

  • More than 24 hours’ notice:
    You may reschedule or cancel free of charge.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice:
    The full lesson fee will be charged.

  • No-shows:
    The full lesson fee is non-refundable.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to instructor illness, unsafe weather, vehicle issues, or emergencies. A replacement lesson will be offered.

4. Payments

  • Payment is required before or at the start of each lesson.

  • Packages must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

  • Lesson credits are non-transferable unless approved by us.

  • Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer, or other approved methods.

5. Packages & Expiry

  • All prepaid packages are valid for 6 months from the purchase date.

  • Unused lessons after expiry are non-refundable.

6. Learner Responsibilities

Learners must:

  • Bring their valid learner permit/licence to every lesson

  • Wear appropriate footwear (no heels, slides, thongs)

  • Be fit to drive (not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or extreme fatigue)

  • Follow instructor directions at all times

If a learner is deemed unfit to drive, the instructor may cancel the lesson and the full fee will apply.

7. Instructor Responsibilities

Our instructors will:

  • Be accredited and insured

  • Provide a safe, clean, dual-control vehicle

  • Offer clear, calm, professional instruction

  • Ensure safety at all times

  • Operate in accordance with VicRoads regulations

8. Test Day Bookings

Test day packages may include:

  • 45–60 minute warm-up lesson

  • Use of our dual-control vehicle for the test

  • Pick-up and drop-off (depending on location)

Fees must be paid at the time of booking.
If VicRoads cancels or delays a test, the lesson portion cannot be refunded but may be rescheduled.

9. Safety & Behaviour

We reserve the right to immediately stop a lesson if:

  • Your behaviour is unsafe

  • You refuse to follow instructions

  • You display aggression, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour

The full lesson fee will still apply.

10. Refund Policy

Refunds are only offered when:

  • A package was purchased but no lessons have been used, and

  • The refund request is made within 7 days of purchase.

Partial refunds for partially used packages are not available.

11. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Traffic infringements incurred during a lesson

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

  • Any indirect, special, or consequential losses

We maintain full instructor and vehicle insurance in line with Victorian requirements.

12. Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Copy or distribute website content

  • Attempt to breach the website’s security

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
