Refund Policy

At Next Generation Driving Academy, we aim to provide fair, transparent, and consistent refund terms for all learners. By booking a lesson, purchasing a package, or using our services, you agree to the following policy.

1. Lesson Refunds

Refunds for individual driving lessons are available only under the following conditions:

  • If you cancel a lesson with more than 24 hours’ notice, the lesson fee will be fully refunded (if prepaid).

  • If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson, the lesson fee is non-refundable.

  • No-shows will not receive a refund.

Refunds will be processed to your original payment method.

2. Package Refunds

Prepaid lesson packages are refundable only if no lessons within the package have been used.

To qualify:

  • The refund request must be made within 7 days of purchase.

  • None of the lessons included in the package may have been completed.

If one or more lessons in the package have been used, the remaining lessons are non-refundable but may still be scheduled and used within the expiry period.

3. Package Expiry

  • Packages are valid for 6 months from the purchase date.

  • Expired lesson credits are non-refundable and cannot be extended.

4. Test Day Refunds

Refunds for test-day packages are subject to the following:

  • If a learner cancels with more than 48 hours’ notice, the warm-up lesson portion may be refunded.

  • The test vehicle hire portion is non-refundable, as test-day slots are reserved in advance.

  • If VicRoads cancels or postpones a test, refunds are not provided, but a makeup warm-up lesson may be offered at our discretion.

5. Instructor Cancellations

If we must cancel or reschedule a lesson due to:

  • Vehicle issues

  • Illness

  • Unsafe weather

  • Personal emergency

  • Scheduling errors

You will be offered:

  • A rescheduled lesson at no additional cost, or

  • A full refund for the cancelled lesson (if prepaid).

6. Unfit-to-Drive Policy

If a learner arrives to a lesson and is deemed unfit to drive, the lesson will be cancelled and no refund will be provided.

This includes:

  • Forgetting to bring a valid learner permit or licence

  • Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Extreme fatigue or illness

  • Wearing unsafe footwear (heels, slides, thongs)

7. Behaviour & Safety

We reserve the right to stop a lesson immediately if:

  • Dangerous behaviour occurs

  • Instructions are ignored

  • Abuse, aggression, or harassment is shown

In these cases, no refund will be issued.

8. Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

  • Vouchers must be used before the displayed expiry date.

9. How to Request a Refund
